This collection of link building tips are likely to guarantee that you will receive free links from already established websites. This differs from content-oriented development strategies which hope to gradually attract natural editorial links.
These link building tips focus more on targeted link placement or link insertion, whereby you are likely to control the specific anchor text used. Some of them include agreements made with others and others involve one-way action on your part.
1. Submit your site to Web Directories.
This is a pretty monotonous process that can get you several hundred backlinks if you have the time. An alternative would be to hire a manual directory submitter. Here’s a list of web directories you can use. You can also find some blog directories here.
2. Submit Press Releases to PR sites.
A basic press release about your website’s launch can be released to several PR websites, who will distribute it to various online news outlets. A good way to get a free link. I recommend using PRWeb and PRLeap.
3. Reciprocal Links with Similar Websites.
Its important to pick sites that are of high relevance so you’ll not only get links but traffic. Reciprocal linking can be useful from the beginning but don’t overdo it. You can find link partners by emailing them directly or searching through webmaster forums.
4. Squidoo Lenses.
A Squidoo lens is fairly easy to create. It only takes around 15 minutes to set up one fully and you’ll be able to insert a bunch of anchor text links to your website along with your feed content. Hubpages is another similar site you can use.
5. Article Submissions.
Create a short article on your niche topic and submit it to article directories for a backlink and some traffic. You might get more links if your article is picked up and published on other websites. Here is a list of article directories, sorted by Alexa and PageRank.
6. Social Media Profiles.
There a whole bunch of social websites online which allow you to insert a link to your website on the profile page. Sign up for some of them, preferably using a username and avatar that brands your business or you as a person. This might come in useful when you decide to promote your site via the social website in the future.
7. Social Bookmarking/Voting Websites.
Certain social voting websites like Netscape or Digg are often crawled by search engines and their links do help to get a website indexed. 3spots has the biggest list of social voting and bookmarking websites I’ve seen so far.

Link Popularity is vital for any Web Site. customers who cannot find your website cannot buy your service or product.
So what on earth is Link Popularity, known generally as LP. LP refers to the ranking given to your website by the search engines, and it determines the ranking your page gets when keywords are entered into a search engine. Love them or hate them we all need to be as highly ranked as possible by as many Search Engines as possible
Google invented the system of ranking and essentially the majority of search engines employ the Google System to rank your webpages in their respective indexes.
Before I begin it is important to realise that the more popular keyword the harder it will be to achieve link popularity. Please do not be discouraged by this fact all is not lost!
Google has a special affection for certain sites. Ezinearticles.com, Goarticles.com, & Searchwarp are all article directory sites loved by Google. Now it is well known that article writing books tell you to write articles so you can get backlinks to your own site. True as this is it is only part of the story. Google also loves some classified ad sites and UsFreeAds is their favorite. Also favoured by Google are Wordpress.com and Squidoo.com. They involve bit more work but it is well worth the effort. These sites are FREE and anyone even with the most limited budget can get started here.
1. Post your copy on one of the above sites first.
2. The idea is to target a phrase that has a low level of optimized results on Google. So what are optimised results? If you go to Google and type in any search phrase in quotes “” and look on the far right the number of results listed, in effect this is is how many pages you are competing with.
Let us put this idea into practice. Go to Google.com and type in Domain, not forgetting the “” (”www.google.com”). On the right hand side, almost at the top you will see Results 1-10 of about 364,000,000. Now repeat the process for Expiring Domain. and look to your right and see Results 1-10 of about 123,000. Now type in Income from Expiring Domain and now smile. On the right hand side Results 1-10 of about 18.
If you post an ad, message or article on either of the above sites, using optimised results your message or article can show up on the first page of Google in as little as two days to two weeks.
3.The title of your article is paramount. Also do not forget to include the phrase in the article itself! The title is fairly easy with our example above but something it is more effective to use expressions such as “7 Innovative Ways to Create Income with expiring domains. it,I think it is a much more clickable title when it shows up on Google, MSN or Yahoo!
4. Finally you can effectively and legally steal LP by buying Expiring Domains which already have high LP. It is easily possible to create Traffic and Income With Expiring Domain Names.

People always ask me how the syndication of press releases and book-marking your blog in many of the social book-marking sites can possibly generate traffic for your site. The other day I submitted a press release to thousands of online sources for a client. As part of my regular routine, I then put the release up on their web site. Not 20 minutes later they had a new comment on that press release:
“I found your site on Technorati and read a few of your other posts. Keep up the good work. I just added your RSS feed to my Google News Reader. I’m looking forward to reading more from you.” So do these strategies work? You bet they do! Below are a few link-building strategies for you to use in your own business to help generate traffic for your site.
1. Social Book-Marking Sites
Social Media book-marking is the strategy used in the story above. It’s also usually the quickest way to get your content read. Use social book-marking sites like Digg, Delicious, Reddit and Technorati to bookmark your own blogs. Make sure to write an attention grabbing headline and use appropriate keywords so that people searching for your particular topic and/ or product will be able to find you. As the story above shows, this is a simple way to create a loyal fan base.
2. Comment on Other Blogs in Your Industry
Find relevant successful blogs in your particular niche that you can comment on. If you find a blog that already has a loyal fan base, become a part of their community and you can tap into that fan base. Start leaving comments on the blogs with a link back to your web site (or blog). Engaging with these relevant blogs is a great way to get noticed. It can also lead to valuable links back to your site. Just like with any other conversation, join in and share your opinion; however, make sure you present both you and your company in the best light possible by leaving relevant comments that will actually help others in your niche.
3. Article Syndication Sites
Start writing relevant articles about your niche and syndicate them. There a ton of these article syndication sites out there, some that we use and suggest are ezinearticles.com, articlemarketer.com, submityourarticle.com, and articlebase.com.
Each of these sites allow you to have a byline at the bottom of your article so if someone reads your article and likes what they see they can visit your site for more information.
Submitting your article to these types of sites does several things. One benefit is that it allows you to get your information out there (through RSS feeds) on thousands of web sites and can lead to your content being referenced in other posts and articles. Also, make sure to always include your web address in your author byline because each time your article is picked up on a site, it provides a link back to your site, thus generating highly targeted traffic to your web site and also raising your search engine rankings through your increased number of link-backs.
Another simple hint: In your byline give the reader a reason to visit your web site. For example, “Want to find more insider secrets to successfully grow your business and increase profits? Check out www.yourwebsitehere.com for a free copy of Top 10 secrets to gaining ridiculous income in 6 months.” (Not to mention if they go and sign-up, then they’re on your mailing list!)
Conclusion:
Remember, if you don’t take the time to tell people about you and your business then no one will ever know what they’re missing!

How can you increase traffic to your website? There are many ways to do this, but link building is one of the most effective, maybe even THE most effective.
So then what is internet link building?
Basically, it hinges on the idea of creating what are called BACKLINKS. This term is used to denote any links TO your website FROM another website. These can be very useful to you in a variety of ways. First, they can give you a lot of free traffic, particularly if the backlink is from a website that itself has a lot of visitors. Secondly, the search engines tend to take more notice of sites that have a number in inbound links across the internet. There are other benefits but these two are the principal ones, at least from the point of view of making money online.
That’s fine, but how can you get people to put links to your website?
Well, you can’t simply ask someone to put a link to you on their site can you? The answer to that, strange though it may seem, is that you sometimes can do just that. Ask! It is amazing how many of us do not adopt this very simple and often effective action. So ask a website owner to exchange links with you. What have you got to lose? If they say no, or ignore you, you are still where you were before. But they might just say yes.
Another way is to browse through the websites or blogs written by other people, and if you find an article or piece that interests you and comments are enabled, leave a comment. Make sure to include a link to your site or your site url as a signature. This is a widely acceptable practice, and would not be considered to be spamming, as long as you do not try to put too many links in your comment.
A third way is to write articles on your own blog that are interesting enough for a few people to notice, who then may well link to you. Incidentally, do not be afraid to be controversial. We have found that a strongly held opinion can actually cause others to link to your site, since your opinion will provoke discussion. Even people who oppose you will link to your site. This is a good illustration of the old saying, there is no such thing as bad publicity.
The fourth way I want to look at here is perhaps the most powerful, and that is what is known as article marketing. If you look around, you will find many sites now that accept articles for free publication, and allow you to include a backlink to your site. These free article websites generate very high traffic volumes, so if your article is accepted by them, your article and your link will be seen by a lot of readers.
These sites have certain minimum standards of acceptability for an article, but you do not have to be a great writer. You should find that if you have something to say, and you can express it in reasonably good, grammatical language, your article will be accepted. The traffic to your website will follow.
Finally, one thing to remember above all. The above techniques require PATIENCE. Do not expect instant success from them, as many have done and failed as a result. It may take a little time for the traffic to build when you try these methods, but when it does come, it will be solid traffic.

You can get more backlinks with just some basic knowledge and some spare time. In this article, I’ll share with you 4 great tips to get more backlinks that will help your site climb up the rankings.
Articles
The first thing you need to do is write articles. Every site should have at least 30 articles written and submitted to the article directories. For best results, do not duplicate an article over several directories but keep each one unique.
I recommend that you stick with the most popular article directories as these are better for both immediate traffic and also ranking.
Blog Comments
Find blogs similar to your own (e.g. use Google blog search) and leave comments. Do not worry if the blog uses “do follow” or “no follow”. The main thing is to make sure that the post you are commenting on is related to your site.
Be helpful and write at least 50 words in your comment. Remember, this is your reputation and you can either come across as a spammer and risk being blacklisted or you can establish and raise your reputation so that people will visit your site.
Reciprocal Links
No site should be composed 100% of reciprocal links but even so, you should definitely go out there and trade at least 30 links. Search engines will look positively on this and see you as a real webmaster and not just a spambot.
You’ll also benefit from their exit traffic. Any traffic that you leak probably wasn’t interested in your site anyway.
Backlink Checkers
I highly recommend using a backlink checker. Just type into a search engine, “backlink checker”.
Then do a check on a site that is similar to yours, a successful member of the competition. Now you’ll be able to see exactly where your competitor is getting their backlinks from.
Now go out and imitate them. Go to the same sites and get the same backlinks. If it worked so well for them then it will work well for you too!

Myths abound regarding what kind of links will help you rank in Google. If you’ve been told that Google only counts links from pages related to your site, or that Google doesn’t count links from pages with no PageRank, or that Google doesn’t count links from duplicate content pages, you’ve been lied to.
Google Counts Links From Off-Theme Pages
If your web page is related to arthritis, what constitutes an “on-theme” link (a link from a related subject page)? Maybe the first thing you think of is, “other arthritis-related pages.” That’s only partly right. Consider these subjects: swimming, cycling, weight loss, vitamins, different types of fat, comfortable furniture, etc. All of them can be related to arthritis!
The only way for Google to ignore “off-theme” links is for it to understand every possible relationship of every conceivable subject in every language they index. Sound impossible? That’s because it is.
I’ve ranked dozens of sites by getting links only from pages that are completely unrelated to the site I’m trying to rank. Google puts them all on page one, so I know it’s true.
Google Counts Links From Pages With No PageRank
PageRank is completely overblown these days. It’s true that Google used to weight their search results heavily based on the page’s PageRank value, but those days were gone years ago. I rank sites all the time by getting links from pages with no PageRank (or very low PageRank) values.
Think about it this, too: is it easier to get 25 links from high PageRank pages or 100 links from low PageRank pages? Because the myth about PageRank’s importance persists, it’s very difficult to get webmasters with high PageRank pages to link to you, but very easy to get links from low PageRank pages.
Google Counts Links From Duplicate Content Pages
Article writing is huge in the search engine optimization world. Why? Because writing articles that can be distributed to article sites like EzineArticles.com results in a large number of pages linking to your site from all over the web. It takes a lot of links to rank well in Google, and article writing is a popular way to get a lot of links. Each distributed article is a duplicate of the original, and yet Google counts the links.
Of course, article writing isn’t the only way to get a lot of links into your site with ease.
There’s a system that automatically builds links to your site in the way that Google likes to see, helping you to rank in Google very quickly. The system I strongly recommend has achieved thousands of top 10 rankings in Google for hundreds of webmasters, and can do the same for you as well. For rock-solid proof of its effectiveness, visit this web site now.
